Ketosis and Nutritional Cleansing: How a Cleanse Day Helps with Ketosis and Fat Burn

Did you know that Nutritional Cleansing can help put your body into ketosis or fat burning mode?

Its actually pretty fascinating to see what happens to body fat during a cleanse day.

So why does this occur and how can you use this to your advantage to release body fat and feel more energetic, fit and healthy?

First, lets dig a little deeper into Ketosis and Nutritional Cleansing...

So what is Ketosis? 


Ketosis is a normal metabolic process where the body burns stored fats as fuel when it does not have enough glucose for energy.  This will also result in a build up of acids, also known as ketones.

Some people will follow a strict ketogenic diet every day in order to put their bodies into this ketosis, or fat burning state, but many people have also realized that nutritional cleansing and intermittent fasting once or twice a week can more effectively create this state of ketosis and fat burn within their bodies.

How does Nutritional Cleansing create Ketosis in the Body?


During a Cleanse Day, the body burns our fat (ketosis)...it will literally use up fat as fuel which causes fat cells to shrink.  As fat cells get smaller, less and less are produced.  This helps our bodies immensely as the endocrine system returns to a more normal state and molecules that cause inflammation in the body are produced less and less.   (HUGE bonus as Inflammation is one of the number one causes of disease in the human body!)

The other important thing to note about Nutritional Cleansing vs a Ketogenic diet is that Nutritional Cleansing first addresses the root issue of toxicity in the body, while the ketogenic diet is more focused on low carbs and high fats in the macronutrient ratios for the day.  Read more about what Macronutrients are here.

So Think of Fat like a Sponge holding on to Toxins...during a cleanse, as our bodies get rid of toxins, the fat that was holding on to the toxins is allowed to be released properly as well!

Nutritional Cleansing, rebalances the body...it is NOT a traditional diet that focuses on simply restricting calories or carbs.  Nutritional Cleansing is focused on flooding the body with essential, healthy nutrients that the body craves, while removing unhealthy and unsafe toxins from the body.  

Nutritional Cellular cleansing removes toxins from the body, allowing the body to properly build lean muscle and melt away excess fat (ketosis) where the toxins had been stored (often for years!)

  1. While the mainstream fitness media still insists that aerobic
    exercise is a great way to lose weight, Turbulence Training users
    know that interval training is the better way to burn body fat.

    A recent study published by the North American Association for the
    Study of Obesity, subjects aged 40 to 75 were instructed to do 60
    minutes of aerobic exercise per day for 6 days per week for an
    entire year.

    Given the amount of exercise, you'd expect weight losses of 20, 30
    pounds, or more, right?

    Well, the surprise findings showed the average fat loss for female
    subjects was only 4 pounds for the entire year, while men lost 6.6
    pounds of fat over the year. That's over 300 hours of aerobic
    exercise just to lose a measly 6 pounds of blubber. Not time well
    spent, in my opinion.

    So what's the better way? Stick with Turbulence Training, using
    interval training and strength training to get better bodysculpting
    results. With intervals, you'll achieve more fat burning results in
    less workout time.

    The next time you are out exercising, perform a session of interval
    training. If you are walking or running outside, find an incline
    that can challenge you for 60 seconds, then walk down for 60-120
    seconds, and repeat up to 6 times.

    If you walk or run on a treadmill, adjust the incline or speed to
    safely increase the challenge for 60 seconds, then return to the
    normal pace for 60-120 seconds, and repeat up to 6 times.

    You can also use a rowing machine, bicycle or stationary bike, or
    even an elliptical machine to do intervals.

    But whatever you do, stay away from boring, ineffective cardio
    exercise workouts and stick with Turbulence Training for your fat
    burning program.
