Well...have you made your list of New Year's Resolutions for 2018 yet?

No?? Why not? Oh because you never keep them, right? lol

Every year, without fail, New Year's Resolutions are made and broken! We always head into the new year so enthusiastic about all the positive changes we plan to make with our lives and for most of us, weeks and months pass and the majority of our goals vanish without a trace!

But why? We start with great intentions then our motivation fades...

Every one of these goals is do-able AND attainable, believe it or not, all it really takes is the right mindset and approach to setting and reaching goals. So how can you revolutionize your resolutions for 2018 and make this New Year your best year ever?
Top 5 Ways to Actually Stick to You New Year's Resolutions in 2018:

The things that will make or break your success in reaching your goals all boils down to your:
  • Mindset
  • Habits
  • Priorities
  • Environment
Your goals need to be:
S- specific- what EXACTLY is it you want to accomplish
M- measurable- how will you know when you've accomplished it?
A-action- what steps will you need to take?
R - relavent- WHY is this important to you
T-time bound- when does this need to happen?

  • put it somewhere you will SEE IT-
  • keep track daily- fitness journal and a food log will help so much
  • share it publicly (social media- make it real!)
2- Be DETAILED: 
I want to lose weight isn't specific enough...
HOW much weight do you want to lose? What is your goal weight/size?
When do you want to lose weight by?  For a specific event or trip??
WHY do you want to do this?  What would it mean for you?  How would it change your life for the better?  (Id have more energy to play with my kids, I'd have more confidence on vacation, love-life with spouse?)

3- ACTION PLAN-
What do you have to do more of?
  • work out 3x per week
  • drink more water
  • 2day deep cleanse once-twice per month
What do you need to do less of?
  • eat out less, no fast food, no refined sugar/candy
  • wake up an hour earlier to fit your workout in

4-  Focus on building POSITIVE HABITS instead of NOT doing the negative ones...
Shift away from what you're trying not to do...you'll subconsciously give too much energy to the negative habit and give it too much power in your life... instead focus intentionally on what you DO want to do...
Speak your positive changes, habits and affirmations out loud to reinforce them in your mind-
Your brain needs to start to BELIEVE you... one thing that keeps people from reaching their goals is they don't believe they will do it... maybe you've failed in the past so you secretly are doubting yourself now?

A great way to overcome this is to forward speak success over your life:
  • I AM  worthy, I AM BEAUTIFUL, I AM strong
  • I am full of energy
  • I am going to fuel my body with high quality nutrition and treat it like the temple it is
  • I am going to drink enough water and get enough sleep,
  • I am going to move my body and exercise to stay active and healthy
5- Connect with People who are on the same journey as You!

We do this TOGETHER!
Remember that your environment and the people you surround yourself with will influence you whether that means positively or not... not everyone will be jumping for joy over your new healthy lifestyle, so its important to remember to surround yourself with people that are on the same page as you and will cheer you on and lift you up!!
  • Find an accountability partner or group
  • Share your progress in the group-  if you do a workout, post a selfie or share what you did!  It will motivate all of us!
  • Aim to support others too because this will help to empower you when you are consciously trying to encourage others!

Remember to be patient with yourself and celebrate small victories!

Remember, if you keep doing the things you've always been doing, you'll keep getting the things you've always been getting....so the question is: Is that OK with you?

  2. I enjoy the healthy eating lifstyle. I have lost 50 pounds with a life style chamge not a diet. It seemed to work for me. A diet is only a temporary fix. without a change in life style you will put the weight on again... We need support for our challenge...
