Smoothie Bowls Galore: How to Build the Perfect Smoothie Bowl and 5 Amazing Smoothie Bowl Recipes to Keep You Energetic Fit and Healthy!

As someone who's long preferred to "Eat my Shake" with a spoon, Smoothie bowls are an obvious thing for me to love and appreciate!

What better way to get my protein and superfood goodness along with the thick and smooth satisfaction of running my spoon through that perfect velvety texture!!!  Oooh yes, please!!

If you haven't tried a smoothie bowl yet, it's easy... just make your shake a little thicker with either a frozen banana or frozen cauliflower (trust me, it's amazing AND low carb!!) and top with your favorite pretty fruits, seeds etc and you've got an amazing healthy meal to start your day or keep you going later on!

So what are some of my favorite Healthy Protein Smoothie Bowl Recipes for staying Energetic, Fit and Healthy?

I've compiled some of my favorites to get you started and inspire you...and then you can let your creativity, moods and cravings take you from there! ;)

But first... 

Here is Your Basic Smoothie Bowl formula- How to Build the Perfect Smoothie Bowl:

Making a smoothie bowl is really as easy as making a smoothie.  Just remember to use about 1/3 less liquid and add extra frozen fruit... the key is to make it thick enough to eat with a spoon! ;)

Liquids:  Water, milk (cashew, coconut, almond etc..)

Thickeners:  Nut Butters, Greek Yogurt, Tofu, cooked beans etc...

Protein Powders:  This is the superfood protein powder I recommend.
Vegan/Dairy free protein.
Collagen peptides.

Frozen Fruit/Veggies: (this is also the key to a smooth and thick smoothie bowl)  bananas, avocado, cauliflower (steam it then freeze it!) zucchini, berries, peaches

Greens:  Spinach, Kale, Organic Greens powder with organic kale, spinach, turmeric, chlorella, spirulina

Toppings:  Chia seeds, coconut, cacao nibs, granola, PB2, IsaLean powder

Smoothie Bowl Recipes:

1-  Peach-Mango Smoothie Bowl:
1 1/2 cups frozen mango
1 frozen banana
1 cup steamed then frozen cauliflower
1/4 frozen avocado
1/4 cup almond milk
1/4 tsp turmeric
2 dates
1-2 scoops Peach-Mango IsaLean protein
Toppings: coconut, fresh peaches, strawberries

2- SuperGreens Smoothie Bowl:
1 scoop Organic Greens with organic kale, spinach, turmeric, chlorella, spirulina
2 cups steamed then frozen cauliflower
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
3/4 cup water
2 TB Almond butter or PB2 (powdered peanut butter)
1/2 tsp ceylon cinnamon
1/4 tsp himalayan sea salt
2 scoops IsaLean protein powder

3- Chocolate Mint Protein Smoothie Bowl:
2 cups steamed then frozen cauliflower
3/4 cup water
2 TB PB2
1 scoop Organic Greens
1 scoop Chocolate Mint Protein
1/2 tsp Ceylon cinnamon
1/4 tsp sea salt
Blend till smooth and enjoy!! 
Optional: top with cacao nibs, chia seeds and/or coconut 

4- Strawberry Smoothie Bowl:
1 frozen banana
1 cup steamed the frozen cauliflower
1 cup frozen strawberries
3/4 cup cashew or almond milk
2 medjool dates
Toppings: sliced strawberries, chia seeds, shredded coconut


5-  Blueberry-Zucchini Smoothie Bowl:
Zucchini is another awesome way to make smooth and low-carb smoothies just like cauliflower (instead of frozen bananas!)
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 cup frozen zucchini
1 scoop Organic Greens
3/4 cup coconut milk
1 scoop Strawberry Cream IsaLean protein
1 scoop Ionix Supreme for adaptogens to fight stress and balance hormones
Top with frozen blueberries, cacao nibs and shredded coconut!
